Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Level AI/ML Researcher with expertise in deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and generative AI. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research, developing innovative algorithms and models, and producing high-quality research outputs in these areas. This role involves working collaboratively with a team of researchers and stakeholders, communicating research findings to various audiences, and contributing to the development of research strategies and funding proposals. The role will be agile and changeable as the business grows and adapts over the coming months, with a mix of pure research and support in strategizing for the principal research outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cutting-edge research in deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and generative AI, with a focus on developing new approaches and techniques for solving complex problems in these areas.
- Develop innovative algorithms and models for deep learning, NLP, and generative AI, with a focus on state-of-the-art techniques such as transformer models, attention mechanisms, and graph neural networks.
- Work collaboratively with a team of researchers and stakeholders to ensure research objectives are met, and to develop and implement research plans.
- Analyze and interpret data using appropriate statistical methods and software, with a focus on cutting-edge techniques such as unsupervised learning, transfer learning, and reinforcement learning.
- Prepare research reports, publications, and presentations for various audiences, including academic journals, conferences, and stakeholders, highlighting the innovative approaches and contributions to the field of NLP and generative AI.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of research activities, including data and publications, and actively contribute to the research community through open-source code and data releases.
- Communicate research findings to various audiences, including academic and non-academic stakeholders, with a focus on translating technical findings into actionable insights.
- Keep up-to-date with developments in the field and contribute to the development of research strategies, with a focus on pushing the boundaries of what is possible in NLP and generative AI.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of research experience in deep learning, NLP, and generative AI, with a focus on cutting-edge techniques and approaches.
- Strong record of research publications in peer-reviewed journals and top-tier conferences in these areas, showcasing the use of state-of-the-art techniques in NLP and generative AI.
- Demonstrated expertise in deep learning, NLP, and generative AI, with a deep understanding of the underlying mathematical principles and a strong ability to design and implement novel algorithms and models.
- Excellent programming skills, including proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in deep learning, NLP, and generative AI such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or C++.
- Experience working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders, with a focus on pushing the boundaries of what is possible in NLP and generative AI.
- Demonstrated ability to develop research strategies and funding proposals, with a focus on securing funding for cutting-edge research in NLP and generative AI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex research findings to various audiences, and to collaborate effectively with team members.
